Rogers City Baptist Church
was established in 1987 as an independent, fundamental Baptist church that believes, preaches, and practices the Bible. From a small group that began to meet in the band room of Rogers City High School, to our present location on M-68, God’s hand has been evident on our congregation.

David & Sherri Rogers
He was raised in the home of a Pastor/Missionary in Veracruz, Veracruz, Mexico. After graduating from high school in 1989, he attended Bible college where he met his wife Sherri. She grew up in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. They were married in 1991. Following God’s leading, they moved to McMillan, Michigan to serve under Pastor Paul Williams at Northstar Baptist Church.
Time under Pastor Williams proved to be important as their family grew and they began to mature in the Lord. In 2003 David accepted a call to serve as assistant to Pastor Williams. His duties were divided between the church and Northstar Christian Academy.
In 2005, Rogers City Baptist Church sought a pastor to fill the place of long-time pastor Jeff DuFour. On Sunday, June 5, 2005, Pastor Rogers began his ministry as the third pastor of our church. He is now entering his 14th year in the pastorate. Pastor and Sherri have one son, Ethan, at home. They serve together with their sons, Drew & Kara and Kurtis & Abbie.
Steve & Loretta Gibbs
Bro. Steve is an ordained minister of the Gospel, serves as a deacon, runs our County Jail outreach and serves as our Senior Care Pastor
Levi & Rachel Johnson
Levi and Rachel have been married since 2011 and have three children: Reagan, Riley, and Ted. They serve teaching Sunday School and have worked with teens for the past six years.
Drew & Kara Rogers
Drew leads congregational music and our church choir. Drew and Kara teach in our Academy, and head up our visitation and outreach program.
We are Independent,
meaning we are free from denominational controls. All decisions affecting our church ministry are made by our pastor and church leaders, in a manner we believe would honor the Lord.
We are Fundamental,
meaning we adhere to the fundamental beliefs and doctrines the Bible teaches. Our Statement of Faith, Constitution and By-laws, all teaching, and preaching uses only the Authorized King James Bible.
We are Baptist,
meaning we stand openly and unashamedly for the faith and practice of the Bible. We are not Protestants, for we never were a part of, nor came out of, the Roman Catholic Church. We believe we belong to an unbroken line of Bible believers tracing back to the Bible.
We believe that God’s Word has the answer to all of life’s problems and is the final authority in all matters of faith and practice.
Thank you for visiting our website. I trust you will come and visit during one of our services. You will find a warm and caring church family which loves the Lord Jesus Christ and desires to know Him and make Him known.
