We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible, preserved, and authoritative Word of God. We accept the sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments, Genesis through Revelation, as the complete canon of Scripture, and we hold that the King James Bible is God’s providentially preserved Word for English-speaking people.

We believe in one living and true God, Creator and Ruler of heaven and earth, existing eternally, perfect, holy, and worthy of our praise. In the unity of the Godhead there are three distinct persons — Father, Son, and Holy Ghost — equal in every divine attribute.

We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God and God the Son. He was begotten of the Holy Ghost in a miraculous manner, born of Mary, a virgin, and is both fully man and fully God. He lived a sinless life, died a redemptive death on the cross, rose bodily from the grave, ascended to Heaven, and now serves as our High Priest and Intercessor.

We believe the Holy Spirit is a divine person, equal with God the Father and God the Son, and active in creation. He convicts of sin, bears witness to the Gospel, is the agent of the New Birth, and seals, fills, guides, teaches, sanctifies, and helps the believer. We believe the sign gifts of the Holy Spirit were temporary and were never the common or necessary sign of the Spirit’s work.

We believe man was created innocent, in the image and likeness of God, but by voluntary transgression fell from his sinless state. As a result all mankind are sinners by nature and by conduct, and are therefore under just condemnation.

We believe salvation is the gift of God, offered freely to all men. A sinner must be born again — a miraculous transaction that makes him a new creature in Christ. The New Birth is instantaneous, not a process, and takes place the moment a sinner repents and places his faith in Christ’s redemptive work. The result is forgiveness of sin and eternal life, which is permanent and eternal to the believer.

We believe Bible baptism is the complete immersion of a person in water after salvation, under the authority of the local church, in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. It is a picture of the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Baptism is a prerequisite to the privileges of church membership, but it is no part of salvation or redemption.

We believe the members of the church should commemorate the death of Christ through the Lord’s Supper, using unleavened bread and grape juice as representative of Christ’s body and blood, always preceded by solemn self-examination and personal confession of sin. It is no part of salvation or redemption.

We believe a church is a congregation of saved, baptized believers associated by a covenant of faith and the fellowship of the Gospel, observing the ordinances of Christ and governed by His laws. Its officers are pastors and deacons, whose qualifications are defined in Scripture. The true mission of the church is the furtherance of the Gospel to all men everywhere and the edifying of the saints. Churches should cooperate in contending for the faith, but the local church has the absolute right of self-government, free from the interference of any hierarchy.

We believe Satan was created holy as a cherub called Lucifer, but because of pride rebelled against God and fell, along with a host of angels. He is the god of this world, the enemy of God, man’s great tempter, the accuser of the saints, and the author of all false religions. He is destined to final defeat by the Lord Jesus Christ at His second coming and to eternal judgment in the Lake of Fire.

We believe all the saved should live in such a manner as not to bring reproach upon their Savior and Lord, and that separation from all religious apostasy and from all worldly and sinful pleasures, practices, and associations is commanded of God.

We believe in the imminent, personal, visible second coming of Jesus Christ with His saints at the end of the seven-year tribulation, when He will destroy the antichrist and His enemies at Armageddon and establish a literal 1,000-year reign as King from the throne of David in Jerusalem. Before the tribulation, believers will be caught away in the Rapture: the dead in Christ shall rise first, then all the living saints shall be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye.

We believe in the judgment seat of Christ, in Heaven, where the believer’s works and motives for service will be tested by fire with the promise of literal rewards; and in the great white throne judgment of unbelievers, where they will be sentenced to an eternity in the Lake of Fire, taking place after the 1,000-year reign of Christ when the dead are resurrected.

We believe civil government is of divine appointment for the interests and good order of human society; that magistrates are to be prayed for, conscientiously honored, and obeyed, except in things opposed to the will of our Lord Jesus Christ, who is the only Lord of the conscience and the coming King of Kings.
