Plan your visit
Your first Sunday, start to finish
No surprises. Here is exactly what happens when you walk through the door at Rogers City Baptist Church.
Step by step
What your morning looks like
-
Pull in and park
We are at 2946 M-68, on the north side of the highway just west of Rogers City. Park anywhere; the main entrance is the one people are walking toward.
-
Someone will meet you
A greeter will say hello, answer questions, and walk you to the nursery or your child’s classroom if you would like. The lobby has a couch and coffee if you are early.
-
Sunday School at 9:45
Classes for children, teens, and adults. If you would rather skip it your first week, that is fine — come at 11:00 instead.
-
Morning service at 11:00
Congregational singing, the choir, prayer, and preaching straight from the Bible. After the singing, children are dismissed to Junior Church.
-
Stay and talk
Nobody rushes out. Meet a few families, ask a pastor a question, and come back Sunday evening at 6:00 if you would like.
What to expect
Common questions
What should I wear?
You will see suits and you will see jeans. Come dressed however you are comfortable — nobody is going to look you over.
Where do my kids go?
Staffed nurseries for babies and toddlers at every service. Sunday School classes by age at 9:45, and Junior Church for children during the 11:00 service — or they can stay with you, whichever you prefer.
Will I be asked to give?
No. We take an offering, but it is for our church family. As our guest, please just let the plate pass.
Will I be singled out?
We will not ask you to stand up or introduce yourself in front of everyone. If you want to say hello, we would love that — on your terms.
What Bible do you use?
The same Bible we read from is in every pew. If you do not have one of your own, we will hand you one at the door — and you can keep one for free.
What is the music like?
Hymns, sung by the whole congregation, with piano and a full choir. Special music most weeks.
Can I watch first?
Yes — services are on our YouTube channel and Facebook page.

Tell us to watch for you
Optional, but it means a greeter will be looking for you by name and your kids’ classes will be ready.
